A governed counterpart for joint research, data exchange and programme delivery.

Cooperative relationships are established with the approval of the Minister, must serve the mandate of the Institute, and must comply with the laws of Puntland and the applicable arrangements of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The Institute has delivered work in partnership with the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources and the Ministry of Ports of Puntland State; the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, under RAAISE Growth in Somalia; the United Nations Development Programme, under SAAMEYNTA; the Promoting Inclusive Markets in Somalia programme implemented by DAI with DFID and DANIDA funding; and Oxford and KAALLO Netherlands in fisheries training and skills development.

Donor support is received where it is transparent, lawful and consistent with the independence and integrity of the Institute.
